What you get
A document with four parts, and none of them is padding.
They are the four the government's plan has set as conditions for the voucher. And they are the four I would ask for anyway before touching a process.
The chosen process
One, with a name and a volume: supplier invoices, tomorrow's appointments, the guest registration. With its rules written down and its exceptions counted, which are what break projects.
What it costs today
Hours, errors and lead times right now, timed with a stopwatch and not guessed. It's the starting figure the result will be measured against, and the only thing that can't be reconstructed later.
What it would take
With which technology, which data leaves the company and which doesn't, in what order, with which milestones, what the team needs to learn, and a cost and time range for the first step.
How it's done
Two weeks from start to finish.
- Before the sessionYou send me three things: which programs you use, who does what in the process that hurts, and a real example of how it comes in and how it goes out. With that I arrive prepared and the ninety minutes are used in full.
- The sessionNinety minutes with whoever decides and whoever does the work, who are hardly ever the same person. By video call, or at your company if you're in Tenerife. We look at how it's really done, not how the procedure says it's done.
- The measuringDuring that week you measure what I ask you to, the way I ask you to: how many times, how long each one takes, how many go wrong. It's a sheet and a stopwatch, and it's what turns the document into something a third party can check.
- The documentA week later it reaches you in writing, with the four parts. If my conclusion is that it isn't worth it, that's what it says, and you'll have saved yourself the project.

Measuring before is what makes the after credible.
The government's plan asks for the impact on productivity to be measured. That can only be done if someone wrote down how things were before starting. In most companies nobody has, and that's normal: until now there was no need.

Start with the 15 minutesWhy it's paid.
Because it's already work. It's ninety minutes looking at your case calmly, a week of guided measuring and a document that's useful to you even if someone else does the project. What's given away doesn't get read; what's paid for does.
The price is agreed with you before we start, you know the exact figure before committing to anything, and if we go ahead together it's deducted from the project. What is free is the fifteen minutes beforehand, which are for deciding whether this is worth it for you.
When I'll tell you no.
- If the process happens four times a year. There's nothing to measure that's worth it.
- If every case is different and has to be decided with judgement. That can't be automated, and I won't sell you that it can.
- If the only thing that matters is collecting the grant and the process doesn't. A project that only pays off with a subsidy is a bad project, and the document would tell you so.
- If nobody at the company can sit down for ninety minutes or measure for a week. Without that, what would come out is an opinion, not a diagnosis.
Questions
Before you book.
Is this diagnosis compulsory to apply for the Bono IA?
The voucher's rules haven't been published yet, so nobody can tell you exactly
which document they'll ask for or who will have to sign it. What the plan does say is
that there will be a prior diagnosis, a concrete use case and measurement afterwards.
This document gets that work done and, if the rules ask for a different format, you'll
have almost all of it written.
How much does it cost?
It depends on what needs looking at, and I agree it with you before we start:
you know the exact figure before committing to anything. Payment is by bank transfer,
with an invoice, and if we go ahead with the project it's deducted in full.
How long does it take?
Two weeks: the session, a week of measuring and the document. If your company
already has the times measured, less.
And if the voucher doesn't open, or I don't get it?
The document is just as useful. It tells you which process is worth changing,
what it costs today and what it would take, and with that you decide with numbers whether
the project pays for itself. I've worked this way since before the voucher
existed.
Can my accountant or my association come?
Yes, and it's often a good idea: they're the ones who will handle the
application when it opens. If your accountant wants to understand what this is about
first, there's a talk for their clients.
